Our goal at Willowood is to make sure that each resident is comfortable and completely at ease, secure in the knowledge that if assistance is needed, it is always close at hand. To assure the best possible care, Willowood provides a high ratio of staff to residents. Compassionate and competent professionals are available 24 hours a day to offer our residents a warm smile, a friendly voice and a helping hand at any time.
Willowood meets a variety of personal care needs of older adults. Residents experiencing difficulties with bathing, dressing, grooming or walking as the result of a short-term, temporary illness or an ongoing chronic illness receive personal attention from our trained geriatric nursing assistants. Medications are monitored to assure that correct dosages are taken by all residents as prescribed. Three tasty and nutritious meals are prepared daily wth the guidance of a dietician and special diets can also be provided.

We go the extra mile at Willowood to ease the demands of daily living while providing a variety of opportunities for an active and involved lifestyle. The monthly fee includes complete housekeeping and laundry services as well as scheduled transportation in Willowood's van. Outings may range from visits to restaurants, shopping malls, local area attractions and events to exercise classes and scheduled doctors' appointments. In-house activities such as bridge, scrabble, bingo, crafts, movies and Bible studies are also guaranteed to keep our residents busy.
Privacy and independence are respected.
At Willowood, we realize that not everyone appreciates the same environment or activities. We have provided many areas -such as sunporches and a patio - that allow for either group interaction or private enjoyment.
Ornate crown moldings, window treatments and a fireplace lend warmth to the rooms. Each private bedroom suite is fully carpeted and quite large, with 9-foot ceilings and enough space to acomodate a sizeable grouping of furniture. For the utmost in comfort and privacy, each suite comes with its own private bathroom. Residents are encouraged to decorate both rooms to their own individual taste, filling them with all of the items that will truly make Willowood their own home.

Willowood's wide array of special amenities are reminiscent of the charming single family homes that grace the rural southern landscape. Special touches begin with the handsome framed exterior- set off by an old-fashioned front porch running the width of the building with attractive columns, rocking chairs and a traditional southern porch swing.
Inside you'll find a large and inviting entry foyer, bordered on one side by a lovely parlor and leading into a beautiful dining room. Residents enjoy home-cooked meals served daily on linen draped tables and fine china in the formal dining room. Throughout the building, special attention has been given to selecting traditional elegant furnishings typical of the style enjoyed by our residents in their own homes through the years. Each piece of furniture was carefully chosen with the physical needs of the older adult in mind to assure ease of use and comfort.

Security and comfort are taken seriously.
Security is a priority at Willowood. Our facility is more than beautifully appointed and inviting; it is also designed and equipped to provide a safe environment for our residents. A fire alarm and sprinkler system protects the entire facility. Other security features are door and window alarms, motion detectors and a nurse call light in every resident's room and bathroom. A police station is located only two blocks away and the facility is regularly patrolled.
