Board of Directors
The Hospital Authority of Calhoun County is an independent not-for-profit entity that is governed by a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is comprised of local community volunteers serving three year terms.

Charles CoxServing his first term as chairman, Mr. Cox, a Calhoun County native and former Naval serviceman, brings a variety of experience to the Board table. Mr. Cox is a Georgia Tech graduate with a Chemical Engineering degree and excelled during a 35-year career in the Auto & Textile Industry. He and his wife Glynis reside in Edison. |

Wilbon GreggsA Calhoun County native, Mr. Greggs is a dedicated member of the board with 15 years of voluntary service, during which the additions of R.E. Jennings Medical Clinic and Willowood Assisted Living facilities were completed. As owner of Greggs Farms, a respected member of the agriculture community for over 33 years and a member of the Tax Board of Equalization, Mr. Greggs brings a valuable perspective to the Board table. He and his family reside in Dickey, Georgia. |

Pam ConnerJoining the Board in 2009, Pam Conner is an active community member and CFO of The Conner Agency. She is a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Marketing Research. She has formerly served as board chair for the Girl Scouts of Southwest Georgia and is an active member of the Arlington Methodist Church. She and her husband Lee reside in Arlington. |

Susan CowartSusan Cowart, an Americus, Georgia native, is a long-time member of the Board of Directors. As an advocate for Agri Tourism in Southwest Georgia, she has served as an officer of the Southwest Georgia Escapes Co-Op. In addition, she brings a unique perspective to the Board table as a former Calhoun Nursing Home Dietary Director. She and her husband Charles along with their family operate Still Pond Vineyard and Winery near Arlington. |

Kay CowartKay Cowart is a graduate of the University of Georgia as well as Georgia Southwestern State University. She holds a Masters Degree as a Reading Specialist and was a teacher in the Calhoun County School System for 33 years. She is an active member in several organizations including the Delta Kappa Gamma Society and the Georgia Retired Educators Association. In addition to working with the Bainbridge College (Blakely campus) part-time, she is an active member of the Arlington Methodist Church for which she is a previous Board Chair. She and her husband Chuck reside in Arlington. |

Conner CollinsConner Collins is a long-time Calhoun County businessman and owner of Conner Collins, Inc., a General Contracting Service. Mr. Collins is a Georgia Tech graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering. Mr. Collins has served in various Board positions including Vice-Chairman. He and his wife Charlotte reside in Edison. |
Michael HawkeMichael Hawke is the most recently appointed Board member, beginning his term in 2011. A graduate of Auburn University, Mr. Hawke lends his experience in accounting to enhance the Board's financial arena. With a successful career with companies including QMS (Mobile, AL) and Sprint, Mr. Hawke's career focus has centered on cost accounting with an emphasis on budgeting. Mr. Hawke is currently employed with AAA Concrete Products, Inc. and resides in Leary with his wife, Denise Gauntt Hawke, formerly of Dothan, AL. |

H.T. "Ted" McLendonEmeritusA Calhoun County businessman and owner of The McLendon Company, Mr. McLendon is the longest serving member on the Board of Directors. As a former Board Chair with 29 years of voluntary service to the Hospital Authority, Mr. McLendon's tenure has included the addition of R.E. Jennings Clinic and Willowood Assisted Living facilities. He and his wife Ann reside in Edison. Mr. McLendon concluded his active term January 1, 2011. |
