HACC - The Heartbeat of Local Healthcare

Located in Calhoun County, the Hospital Authority of Calhoun County provides local health-care to the residents of Arlington, Edison, Leary, Morgan and the surrounding areas. HACC is composed of five faciltiies providing individualized and specialized care to the community.

Calhoun Memorial Hospital

Calhoun Memorial Hospital celebrated it's Grand Opening April 1, 1951 as a Hill Burton facility with 40 beds. Currently operating as a 25-bed critical access facility, this community resource occupies the original Arlington Hospital building at the location of 55 R.E. Jennings Ave. SE in Arlington. Calhoun Nursing Home

Calhoun Nursing Home was opened in the 1970s as a 60-bed long-term care nursing facility located at 265 Turner Street, Edison, Georgia. Click here for information on services available at Calhoun Nursing Home.

Willowood

Willowood Personal Care Home was opened in 1992 at 19818 Hartford Street in Edison. A 15-bed assisted living facility, WIllowood is a cozy home offering private bedrooms and bathrooms to 15 residents, with the assistance available for independent living. Willowood provides in-house dietary and housekeeping services, offers transportation to appointments and events, and boasts a new fitness room, computer access for every resident and an overnight room for visiting family members to enjoy. R.E. Jennings Medical Clinic

R.E. Jennings Medical Clinic was built and opened in 1997. Also located on R.E. Jennings Avenue in Arlington, Jennings Clinic is an outpatient primary care clinic open Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. The Clinic also offers extended hours on Thursday evenings until 7 p.m. for those patients who need care after hours. Home to the Medical Staff, R.E. Jennings Clinic was named for HACC's founding father, Doctor Robert E. Jennings, who practiced medicine with HACC from the early '50s until his retirement. Calhoun Rehab Services

Calhoun Rehab Services, located in an independent suite of REJ Clinic, provides occupational, physical and speech therapy to patients and residents of all HACC facilities. Calhoun Rehab also provides services to Calhoun Prison and Calhoun County School Systems.

Volunteer Opportunities - Helping Hands Caring Hearts

Helping Hands Caring Hearts is the HACC volunteer organization which provides volunteer services to all 4 of the HACC facilties. Volunteers who wish to provide on-site services such as reading with patients/residents, participating in special events at Calhoun Nursing Home, making rounds with the gift cart/magazine rack are asked to complete an Orientation Session at Calhoun Memorial Hospital. Other volunteers can contribute their talents from home by sending cards, making blankets or other homemade items to distribute to residents/patients, providing gardening services or any form of support they wish to offer. Helping Hands Caring Hearts holds monthly meetings at Calhoun Memorial Hospital to plan special fundraising events and other HACC sponsored efforts throughout the year.
